City of Gilroy Post - July 29
Due to the active nature of the crime scene at the site of the Gilroy Garlic Festival following the shooting incident yesterday, people who have cars, personal belongings and other goods to retrieve from the park will experience significant delays in being able to recover those belongings.

The FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) is in the process of securing, documenting, cataloguing and warehousing belongings. When possible, the FBI will return belongings to the rightful owners. The FBI has said this may take several days.

Any questions from the media, or members of the public in need of assistance replacing prescription medications should be directed to the Public Information Officer at 408-842-0432. Members of the public asking about their belongings should call the incident information center at 408-846-0548.
